DJ Notoya - Funk Tide: Tokyo Jazz-Funk From Electric Bird 1978-87 LP

DJ Notoya has selected eight jazz funk gems recorded between 1978 and 1987 on Electric Bird, Japan's world-class fusion label. In addition to Yasuaki Shimizu, Toshiyuki Honda, Mikio Masuda, Ronnie Foster, Bobby Lyle, and other American musicians are featured on this tasty selection. The soundtrack was newly mastered by King Records, with artwork by graphic artist Manuel Sepulveda and liner notes by DJ Notoya. The collection includes "Night Life" by Ronnie Foster with its unique 80's funk feel, "Special Delivery" from David Matthews' classic album "Cosmic City," guitarist Katsutoshi Morizono's cover of Azteca's James Vincent's "Space Traveller," and more. Space Traveller" by guitarist Katsutoshi Morizono, and many other tracks that showcase the diversity of Electric Birds' work. This is the LP edition.
